Knitting for Olives Heavy Merino consists of 100% merino wool. The yarn has a beautiful and naturally woolly structure, while being soft and delicious.

The wool comes from sheep in Patagonia, where mulesing does not take place. The wool can be traced directly back to the farm it comes from. In this way, we know exactly which farm, which farmers and which sheep the wool comes from.

Merino wool has a wide range of good properties. The wool is temperature-regulating and thus retains body heat in cold weather and gives off heat when the skin needs to be kept cool in hot weather. At the same time, like silk, wool can transport moisture away from the skin, and wool can absorb 30% of its own weight without feeling wet.
Wool is also dirt-repellent and requires minimal care.

The yarn is produced in Italy. The spinning mill follows ethical and environmentally correct procedures to create a yarn without harmful substances.
