Badger and Bloom with hand dyed yarn

At Kreative Dage in Fredericia at the end of October, we were suddenly stormed by nice customers who were all looking for one cool Silk Mohair for a sweater they had seen at Önling's stand, which was one of our nearest neighboring stands at the fair. After a lot of wondering, we found out that they had to use the one Silk Mohair thread for a Badger and Bloom sweater, where the one thread had to be hand-dyed. It is up-and-coming knitwear designer Anne Ventzel who is behind the beautiful design.

Now I have also thrown myself over the nice sweater with the nice multi-coloured collar and the beautiful sleeves. I have never knitted multi-coloured knits before. For fear that it would be ugly and difficult. But after knitting my first Badger and Bloom, I'm hooked on even more multicolored knitting - so hooked, in fact, that I'm knitting the same sweater for the rest of the family.

I have knitted my first sweater in one thread Silk Mohair and one thread Önling no. 2. The yarn from Önling is a new acquaintance of mine, but I am quite impressed. The yarn is 100% wool and spun on a small family-run spinning mill in Italy. The yarn is also sustainably produced. The sweater will not be quite as strong in structure as it is in the original yarn (EcoSoft from Isager), but the knitting strength is right on the eye and the slightly more airy expression is just to my taste.

The sweater is knitted from top to bottom, and I have knitted an XS and adjusted the length along the way. One of the clear advantages of top-down knitting.

The colors I have used are the following:
Color A: ' Mid Grey ' - Silk Mohair + 'Grigio 0, 3559' - Önling No. 2
Color B: ' Deep Down Under ' - Silk Mohair + 'Bajkal, 3339' - Önling No. 2
